Welcome, Summer 2021!

June 5, 2021

Sleder’s endured a difficult 138th year with the pandemic-related capacity restrictions and consequent staffing shortage, but thanks to our solid kitchen crew, core server staff, and our community and loyal patrons, we are grateful and glad beyond words to be celebrating 139 years in 2021.

In Traverse City, as of June 1, the limit of six diners per table was lifted as was the mask mandate for those who are fully vaccinated. The social distancing rules that require restaurants to operate at 50% capacity indoors will be lifted on July 1. This is especially good news as we plan to resume our On the Porch Concert Series in the fall.

On Memorial Day weekend 2021, Sleder’s re-opened al fresco dining. Last year, outdoor dining became an urgent need, and since we couldn’t use half our tables inside, we brought them outside, but this year, we have all new tables and chairs for al fresco dining along with new night lighting and fencing and a new server station and stairs for the staff.

Sleder’s serves lunch and dinner outside and inside, and we have a full bar with wine, spirits, and beer. Takeout is also available by calling 231-947-9213. Our hours are currently Monday-Saturday 11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. and Sunday 12:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Check our website or Facebook page for updated hours in July. Sleder’s is located at 717 Randolph Street in historic Slabtown, Traverse City, and is the oldest continuously operated restaurant in Michigan, established in 1882. No reservations required!

Hi Pat! We do not take reservations, but we typically do have two tables we can easily push together if our bigger tables are full. We look forward to seeing you!
