Hello Kellen,
We have appetizers, dinners, and burgers that are not made with egg or dairy; however, they are cooked in a kitchen that has egg and dairy, so there may be cross-contamination. Many salads do not have egg or dairy, for instance, but other salads do, and they are made in the same area of the kitchen. We use 100% beef for our burgers; however, many people order with cheese, and some buns, including Udi’s gluten-free buns, have egg whites. Please consult with your server for the best options. Our full menu is here: https://sleders.com/menu/. Thank you!
Sleder’s is well known for it’s fish fry. We have perch, cod, and smelt. We do not currently serve whitefish sandwiches. Randolph did a Google search for you and saw that Scalawags Whitefish & Chips on State Street in TC serves whitefish. We hope that helps with your search and that when you’re in the mood for perch, cod, or smelt, we’ll see you at Sleder’s. 🙂
Could you put your beer menu on the website? We were at your place just before the cherry festival and I am trying to remember the beer that I enjoyed…thanks!
We will be vacationing in Traverse City in August and would love to visit your restaurant. My son has a peanut and tree nut allergy. In reviewing your menu it doesn’t look like you offer anything with nuts, but I just wanted to check to see if there is anything we would need to be concerned about, such as peanut oil, etc.?
The only thing at the tavern with peanuts are actual peanuts in the shell that we sell by the pound. We do not cook with any peanut oils or put nuts in any of our menu items.

What type of oil do you use to fry your fried foods? My husband has a sensitivity to canola oil.

Hi Rosemary,
We use soybean oil in our fryers. Thank you for your question.
